Our Guard Gets a New Home

The Manos Amigas clinic is located along Honduras’ International Highway approximately three miles outside of La Entrada on the way to San Pedro Sula. It is still a rural area and security is always a consideration. And so, over the past year, a modern house was built to provide a home for our security guard and his family.

On Saturday, Eddie Edgardo Escobar, the clinic’s guard, and his wife, Yeny Karolina Ramirez, moved into their new home. They have two children—five year-old daughter Stefany (pictured here) and a son, Byro, 9.

Eddie had been watching the construction of the house for a long time and you can tell from the smile on his family’s faces that they were delighted to relocate to their new home.

Because of Eddie’s presence on the property, the clinic will now have security 24-hours per day.
