Take Action
It takes many people serving with us to fulfill our mission. We are grateful for our volunteers, partners, and donors. But, there is always room for more to join in the exciting work we are doing.
Make a donation.
Your donation helps purchase medical equipment, healthcare supplies, and medication to support operations at the Manos Amigas clinic. Additionally, some money we receive is used for scholarships for the professional development and advancement of the clinic staff.
Donate to our Scholarship Funds
We view education as one of the most empowering gifts we can give. It not only betters the individual, but also his or her family and community. For that reason, we currently have two scholarship programs for Honduran students wishing to pursue careers in healthcare.
Dr. Robert & Pauline Sumner Dental Scholarship
This scholarship, for Honduran students attending dental school, was established in recognition of Robert and Pauline Sumner’s many contributions to those less fortunate around the world and in the United States.
Ophthalmology Scholarship Fund
We expect to grow this fund so that in the future we will be able to support Honduran doctors who wish to continue their medical studies to become ophthalmologists.
Please contact us if you’re interested in founding a new scholarship
for medicine, nursing, pharmacology, or another field of medicine.
Join a Brigade
We regularly form brigades of medical professionals to serve at the clinic for 7-10 days. Not a medical professional? That’s ok! There are also many non-medical volunteers who join us too.
Donate Supplies
Know of a medical facility upgrading their equipment? We may be able to put their old equipment to good use. We can accept excess supplies and non-expired pharmaceuticals, as well.
Help At Home
Time is one of the most valuable things someone can donate and we need a lot of it. Whether it's loading containers, sorting medicine, or collecting donations, we can use your help.
Does your company offer a corporate match?
Many companies offer corporate matching gift programs. Through these programs, businesses match an employee’s donation to select non-profits and double, or sometimes even triple, the impact.
How We Use Donations
We put 91% of financial donations directly to supporting the clinic and its services and programs.
Serving at the Crossroads has an all-volunteer board and no paid staff. The generosity of our volunteers ensures nearly all of your donation is serving someone in need.
